Safely Universal Cleaner is a great, easy to use product that smells and cleans wonderfully. Better yet, the price is very reasonable. Our only complaints — there are some ingredients that may cause some concern according to EWG, and the liquid formula is heavy to ship, meaning a higher carbon footprint.
Overall, of all the products we tried in the EC30 Home Care bundle, the all-purpose surface cleaner is the most affordable. Overall we loved the product and experience, but a bit baffled by the fact that we need to dispose of the unused solution after 48 hours - seems like a waste!
NOT a buy. The Seventh Generation Zero Complete Bundle for home cleaning includes the hand washing powder, toilet bowl cleaner powder, laundry tablets, dishwasher tablets, kitchen cleaner powder and bathroom cleaner powder. For a lower price, the whole home bundle omits the hand washing powder, which we like.
The ingredients are non-toxic and the canisters are made of steel — the world’s most recycblable material. However, as an example, with dishwasher powder, we prefer Seventh Gen’s old school powder in a cardboard box, which is already pretty zero waste.
BUY. We like Seventh Generation’s Kitchen Cleaner Powder. We think it does a good job and does it at a good price. The ingredients are pretty minimal and the packaging is zero plastic. Additionally, we look forwrd with Seventh Generation’s upcoming refills for the kitchen cleaner, the price will come down even more, and we would reuse the steel canister.
OK, we are super impressed with what Veles is trying to do here, bringing to market a closed loop, negative waste cleaning product made of food waste! But at current price and the limited amount of surfaces this cleaner works on, we cannot whole-heartedly recommend this product. We will say though, that it cleans our stainless steel surfaces MUCH better than Method’s Stainless Steel product.
Meliora’s refillable all-purpose cleaner is an ABSOLUTE BUY. We love the minimal, zero waste packaging and the ability to refill for up to 288 ozs (or 18 bottles!) with one container of the soap refill Cleaned spectacularly, palm-oil free (hard to find!) and SO incredibly affordable that it is a no-brainer.
