etee Lemongrass Liquid Hand Soap Concentrate Review | Plastic-free Sustainable Hand Soap
The Top Line: NOT a buy. We like the zero-plastic effort, especially with zero-waste and biodegradable beeswax packaging for the hand soap concentrate. Unfortunately, being a little tricky to use and pretty expensive did not make up for good ingredients, clever packaging, and lovely lemongrass soap scent.

Cost & Products: $19 for 3 of etee's hand soap concentrate tubes
How ‘Clean’ Is This? Pretty clean. The tubes are made of beeswax, which will compost both in the garbage and the compost bin. The ingredients sound complex but looking at them more closely, they don’t cause allergic reactions and do not harm the environment.
Packaging: Other than the beeswax, w hich will compost, the package was sent via cardboard box. No plastic was used.
Purchasing & Shipping: etee’ss website is relatively straightforward. Shipping is free with a $50+ purchase, otherwise it’s $3.95.
What’s Your Impact? No plastic casings of any kind when it comes to packaging. Ingredients sound a little scary but overall are environmentally friendly and are hypoallergenic.
The Experience
We want to limit the amount of plastic in our bathroom, and even though we use refills, we wanted to try to get rid of the plastic from our refills.
Messy, there’s no doubt about that
There is something odd about saying a hand soap is messy though since you can wash it off…
The beeswax tubes can crumble and crack when you squeeze them into the soap dispenser - be ware
The wider the opening of the soap dispenser, the easier it would be to use this refill
After that, add water, shake a bit and wait about an hour
The scent is 100% natural essential oil and we love it
Hands are not dry after using the etee hand soap, which is great
The Cost
We did the math to figure out how much it would cost for 60oz of liquid soap - which should be enough for a year for a family of four. We looked at etee’s Lemongrass Hand Soap Concentrate compared to Mrs. Meyers, Grove Collaborative, Cleancult, Seventh Generation Hand Wash Powder as well as the drugstore staples of Dawn and Soft Soap.
Money Report: Really expensive — on the level of Cleancult.
The Good:

✔ Pretty clean ingredients that cause no environmental damage and are hypoallergenic

✗ Tubes are a little tricky to use and leak if not handled appropriately
