NOT a haul we recommend. The recycled loofah was a highlight, but unfortunately not enough for the whole haul. We liked using almost everything in this haul (zero waste dish soap, natural sponges, laundry sheets, laundry sheet), but we were confused at the hand soap sheets. Moreover, many items were on the pricey side - the biggest reason for our overall no recommendation

Jun 13 Safely Universal Cleaner Review 2021 | Eco-friendly, refillable all-purpose and multi-surface cleaner

Safely Universal Cleaner is a great, easy to use product that smells and cleans wonderfully. Better yet, the price is very reasonable. Our only complaints — there are some ingredients that may cause some concern according to EWG, and the liquid formula is heavy to ship, meaning a higher carbon footprint.

Jun 13 Safely Glass Cleaner Review 2021 | Eco-friendly, refillable glass cleaner

It’s not a buy for us. Safely Glass Cleaner is a great, easy to use product that smells and cleans wonderfully - no streaks. But we have a few issues — there are some ingredients that may cause some concern according to EWG, and the liquid formula is heavy to ship, meaning a higher carbon footprint. On top of all of all of that, the pricing is quite high, highest among the other glass cleaners out there.

Even though it is pretty and very earth-friendly, the glass bottle is on the heavy side, so the Grove Collaborative Glass Cleaner Set is NOT a buy for us.

Nov 7 EC30 Surface Cleaner | Zero Waste, Biodegradable All-Purpose Cleaner Review 2020

Overall, of all the products we tried in the EC30 Home Care bundle, the all-purpose surface cleaner is the most affordable. Overall we loved the product and experience, but a bit baffled by the fact that we need to dispose of the unused solution after 48 hours - seems like a waste!

Oct 25 Seventh Generation Zero Plastic Home Cleaning Line Review 2020 | Zero Waste Cleaning Products

NOT a buy. The Seventh Generation Zero Complete Bundle for home cleaning includes the hand washing powder, toilet bowl cleaner powder, laundry tablets, dishwasher tablets, kitchen cleaner powder and bathroom cleaner powder. For a lower price, the whole home bundle omits the hand washing powder, which we like.

The ingredients are non-toxic and the canisters are made of steel — the world’s most recycblable material. However, as an example, with dishwasher powder, we prefer Seventh Gen’s old school powder in a cardboard box, which is already pretty zero waste.

Oct 4 Seventh Generation Zero Plastic Kitchen Cleaner Powder Review | Zero Waste, Plant- and Mineral-Based Kitchen Cleaner

BUY. We like Seventh Generation’s Kitchen Cleaner Powder. We think it does a good job and does it at a good price. The ingredients are pretty minimal and the packaging is zero plastic. Additionally, we look forwrd with Seventh Generation’s upcoming refills for the kitchen cleaner, the price will come down even more, and we would reuse the steel canister.

Aug 5 Grove Collaborative Floor Cleaner Review 2020 | Floor Cleaning Concentrate, Orange & Rosemary

BUY. Grove Collaborative’s orange & rosemary floor cleaner concentrate tubes are a buy. We could not find other small packaging for floor cleaners - everything was full, diluted solution.

For the cleaning power, high reduction in plastics (as well as carbon from shipping), and for the light scent. We like what Grove Collaborative is doing with the cleaning concentrates. Two things we wish: (1) the tubes were recyclable and (2) the concentrate had fewer chemical ingredients.

Jun 20 Veles All-Purpose Home Cleaner Review 2020 | Eco-friendly, negative waste, refillable cleaning solution

OK, we are super impressed with what Veles is trying to do here, bringing to market a closed loop, negative waste cleaning product made of food waste! But at current price and the limited amount of surfaces this cleaner works on, we cannot whole-heartedly recommend this product. We will say though, that it cleans our stainless steel surfaces MUCH better than Method’s Stainless Steel product.
